Aaron Jonker is Helping to Bring the Coral Reef Vision to Life

It takes many people doing many different things to bring a project of the magnitude of Coral Reef to fruition. One of the key people involved in Coral Reef is Aaron Jonker. Aaron is the founder of Telosa Consulting, which focuses on construction and real estate consulting. Aaron specializes in helping his clients move their project from concepts and ideas to completion. He helps manage teams of architects, engineers, contractors, electricians, and more to ensure a project is moving forward and on schedule. This is precisely what he is doing with Connie and the Coral Reef team.

Moving The Ball Forward

Aaron has been working with Coral Reef for 18 months, and on a high level, his role is to take the vision and turn it into reality by managing the fine details of moving pieces of the design and construction process ahead from start to finish. In a recent interview, one thing Aaron said he was most proud of in his work with Coral Reef is the amount of progress that they have made taking the plan that has been developed and moving it forward. Aaron said “we have moved the ball forward in ways that haven’t been possible in the past.”

Staying Energized

When asked what propels Aaron forward to stay motivated and passionate about the Coral Reef project he said, “it is great to be a part of something that is filling a real need in the community and will make a genuine difference in people’s lives.” This same sentiment has been echoed throughout various conversations with those involved in the project. It is clear that there is a need for this type of housing in our community and the whole team is eager and excited to be a part of meeting that need.

Something else that Aaron mentioned in the vein of making a difference in the community was not only how the opportunity will impact the residents, but also the impact it will have on their families. As you can imagine, there is a significant amount of responsibility that every parent takes on, and one of the realizations that Aaron shares in his experience working with Coral Reef is the unique and consistent care that each person with special needs requires. Additionally, he says that “there is a time for every parent of someone with special needs where they realize that this is not going to be a traditional life moving forward, and my child will need me in this capacity for the rest of their life.” Through providing a place for adults with special needs to live independently, Coral Reef will not only support their residents but will also relieve parents of bearing the full responsibility of care and offer them the chance to support their child in a different way.

Coral Reef is a place that will offer a sense of normalcy for both the resident and the families and allow them to live healthier and more sustainable lives. For Aaron, Coral Reef will be a place where “residents will be able to grow and thrive in ways that they never thought possible.”

One thing that was made clear from talking with Aaron is that this is a project that elicits great passion and motivation for him. The determination to bring this project to life is evident and with the help of Aaron and the rest of the Coral Reef team, progress is continuing!
